{Lynch} Sibling Portrait Session...red bluff, CA children's photographer

*Note: You can click on any image to enlarge it on your screen.

These little guys were a pleasure to work with. So cooperative and willing to let me follow them around with a camera! And, might I mention, they are complete doll faces! Seeing how much Alexis adores her little brother Grayson just made my heart melt. Thanks so much you guys for making my time with you special.

November Rock the Shot Challenge: Family...red bluff, ca. family photographer

OMG! I have been so unbelievably busy lately that I am way behind on blogging the sessions I have done recently. I am also in the process of adding a few things to this blog like personal posts and maybe even some how to's. I am ready to branch out a bit and make this vision I have for myself a reality.

Anyway, in the mean time I am going to offer up my submission for the Rock The Shot monthly photo challenge. So here it is. This was a more candid shot I took of this family in between posing when I was just watching them be themselves. Wouldn't you know it, I caught them laughing together while her husband leaned in to kiss her and all while their first newborn child was smiling. Not a technically perfect shot but who cares...these are the shots I live for!!!!

Hello I'm New Here: Baby Hailee's Newborn Portrait Session...red bluff, ca. newborn & family lifestyle photographer

I have been photographing this family since the couple was married last year. They are the reason I have become so obsessed with photography! If it wasn't for them asking me to photograph their wedding, I would not be here today sharing my love of photography with you.

They have been my most loyal and supportive clients and also they have become really great friends. Thanks so much guys for choosing me to photograph your life. I am honored and can't wait to watch your family grow!

Here are the pics from Hailee's session:

Look at those pretty blue eyes!

I love little pudgy baby lips!

Just a hint of a smile!

What a gorgeous mommy right!

Ugh daddies looking at their babies just get me every time!

Look at her smiling while mom and dad kiss...I didn't realize she was doing that until I went back to edit these photos. I got really lucky on this one! So stinking cute!

As always, thank you for looking!
XOXO,
Jen

Lil Avynn's Newborn Session...red bluff, ca. newborn photographer

My first newborn session with a little girl! Love it and love her! This is my niece of course and I have been able to shoot her mommy's belly and her birth! SO WONDERFUL! The best part of photography is being able to document mine and my family's lives. It's such a gift to be able to have images like this to look back on! LOVE MY JOB! Introducing: Lukas Gilliland, The Newest Addition to the Gilliland Family...red bluff, ca. newborn, lifestyle and family portrait photographer

For those of you that don't already know me, I am from a little desert town, in So Cal, called Victorville. Anyone ever heard of it? When I was younger NO ONE ever knew where it was, unless I said, "it's that city you drive through when your on your way to Vegas" or "you know the band Sublime? They once mentioned Victorville in a song." LOL. Then everyone would go...ohhh yeah, LOL.

Anyway, my husband and I moved from there a few years ago and left some very close friends of ours there. Because of that, we travel there at least two times a year for vacations or special events. This time I was fortunate enough to be able to head down solo, with just my camera, to document the birth of my best friend son Dean (check out the sneak peek for that: here). Because I was going to be there for a whole week, I set-up some sessions while I was there.

This lovely family had just had their third child, Lukas. They were given a gift certificate for a newborn session as a gift at their baby shower, so we planned this session during the time I was going to be in town. It was supposed to be a lovely outdoor session shot at sunset with the desert as the background. Buuuut, when it came time for the session, the desert was blowing with, what seemed like, hurricane force winds. So we had to switch up the plan. We decided to do a lifestyle newborn session and just use the family's lovely home as the back drop. Even though the pictures weren't what we planned for, I think they came out lovely. Here's more from this session:

This is Lukas's big brother, Jeremiah, and his big sister, Savannah. Aren't they adorable!

Both mom and dad had some really cool tattoos!

This shot just melts my heart!

Even though this little guy was close to being a month old, we were able to get some awesome newborn posed shots. He was the perfect little model.

I was so lucky and fortunate to have this family in front of my camera for the day. Congrats on your new little bundle of joy! ~Jen
