Falling In Love With Fall...red bluff, ca. photographer

One of the reason's I love fall is because of this ^^^^! I have lived in the desert almost my whole entire life. If you have ever lived there you realize there are basically two seasons...summer and winter! Occasionally, you get a week or two of spring and fall but it is nothing like the experience you get when you live somewhere that has all four seasons. 

I used to think my favorite time of year was spring, until I moved North. We moved here just at the tail end of summer and my first encounter with fall was enchanting. The color's are brilliant. The weather is cool. It RAINS!!! Something that is rare in the desert! I LOVE THE RAIN! And the fact that it rains so much here just made fall even more appealing to me. And almost everyday the sunsets are amazing. This picture I took was just at the end of the day and the end of the street I live. Isn't it amazing.

A Painter's View on Photography!... red bluff, ca. natural light photographer

Today was awesome! I walked into an art gallery and the owner said she was a painter and asked me if I painted. I said no and replied that I was a photographer.

Then the painter said something I will never forget. She said, "Oh yes, you are a painter...you paint with light!"

I freaking love that!

I loved the song Accidental Light by Sleeping at Last when I first heard it, and quickly had to look up the lyrics. And while I thought is was talking about life in general, I stumbled upon The band's blog here:

And now I am REALLY freaking in love it and it's meaning!!

I LOVE THIS BAND for putting words to the creative process we artists go through! So amazing!
