Dream Makers Portrait Session: Super Hero Fun With "Super" Kid Jayden... red bluff, ca. children's photographer

This here is my cute as heck nephew. He is constantly running around reciting lines from his favorite movies and television shows and acting them out. As you can see, in the second photo there, he has some really cute facial expressions and an imagination that is greater then any other kid I know! I love it! And what better way to capture all that personality then to do a dream makers session. The concept for his session was to be a super hero since he is one "super" kid!!! I hope you enjoy these!

This is a pull back shot of the set up we used! It was "super" simple and "super" inexpensive to make these. I just gathered some old boxes and spray painted them. Then my kids and I cut out square and rectangle shapes and glued them to the boxes. That little gray one in the picture there has a spray painted plastic cup with a straw suck in the middle of it. Then I just stacked them on top of each other..."Super" easy right? (LOL! I know, I know I'm cheesy!).

My sister Natalie made his adorable cape!

Thanks for looking!

Dream Makers Portrait Sessions: Fantistic Fun with a Bubble Machine and the Cutest Darn Toddler I know!!!... red bluff, ca. child photographer

Meet my gorgeous nephew everyone! This beautiful toddler's name is Jordan! And his dream was to run around in a sea of bubbles. So we made it happen and this is how...The thought behind these particular sessions is to go all out to make the child's dream come alive through images. They are in effect "styled sessions" in which the clothes, the props, the location all fit to create a dream world for your child.

This was the first session of this type I have done. My thought initially was to go for the "geeky look" with the glasses and a bow tie. Literally that's all the direction I gave my sister, LOL! Initially I only wanted to do a styled shoot, just to try my hand at them. But as we started talking about it we came up with a very specific plan, which then grew into talks about separate sessions of this type for her kids and mine. And the "dream makers" session concept was born. She picked out the gorgeous clothes, complete with hat and glasses, and we decided to incorporate a bubble blowing machine. Fun stuff right!!! At the very last minute I asked to borrow a chair my mother had just striped the paint off of. I have now inherited it as a prop...SCORE!! Gotta love it when family members have a great eye for furniture that can be used in a photo shoot right!! We also threw in a red blow pop just for good measure!! ;)

So far we have shot this session and a super hero session with my other nephew. I am still working on the concepts for my son and daughter which will hopefully be on the blog here soon. Until then enjoy these! And stay tuned for my nephew Jayden's super hero session! Thanks so much for lookin!

XOXO, Jen
